Default "The Trusty Razor" Mayor & Grosh

Mahor & Grosh Toledo, Ohio " The Trusty Razor"
I just picked this up at an antique mall today, I am not sure if I got a great deal on it, it was 34.95 with 10% discount. The photos are after a few minutes of polishing with some "Brasso" and a leather towel. It looks like decent condition, no nicks and still sharp. I love the engraving. I think this will be my first restoration. now time to start reading up in the forums. I can't wait.

I am trying to figure out the date of this razor, so far I am thinking it is around 1889, attached is a advertisement for the 1889 version of the "trusty razor" The "T" font is similiar although mine is a little more ornate.

Any one care to guess the age?

Nice find. It should make a great shaver. Sorry but I can't venture a guess at the age. Remember that it should be properly honed before you take it for a spin. Let us know how it shaves!
