Thread: Clarification re: JR Torrey Co and Worcester Razor Co--?

I've read in a couple scattered posts that Torrey may have bought the Worcester Razor Co., or visa versa. Both firms were based in Worcester, MA, and made straight razors for decades. Oddly, our own Wiki database does not reference the Worcester Razor Co., even though they made some marvelous straight razors (and are not all that uncommon). Nor does the reference to Torrey mention Worcester.

Can anyone help clarify who was what and when? Or even whether there really was a relationship between the two firms...?

PS There have been similar queries here in the past, but they've ended up being fairly ambiguous. That is, no one had a definite answer! Hoping that perhaps some info has come along--?
