My Best Quality 5/8 is a full hollow. I may be wrong but I think only the 6/8 are half hollow.

Good find JohnG0
The 4/8" razor is only available in the full hollow ground, while the 5/8" and 6/8" come either way.
I have the 6/8 in a full hollow and its an awesome shave (it has the double stabilizers)Last edited by Brighty83; 08-06-2011 at 01:21 AM.

someone told me all dovo that has double stabilizer are all full hollow, except the renaissance is shoulderless but full hollow.
I think Dovo best quality providing all the 1/4, 1/2 & full hollow, you need to email & ask them which are available & which are the best for you.
in my experience, Dovo best Q. 6/8 full hollow was my 1st shave ready razor I got from SRD. the weight of the 6/8 definetly helps me guiding each stroke of shavin. Imo the weight of 6/8 was much more helpful to me when I was a beginner than smaller razor with 1/4 or 1/2 hollow. but thats just my experience.

Yeah, I've just been honing/fiddling with a 4/8th wedge and a Torrey 5/8th wedgish razors. Without shaving with the Torrey I can tell it's fullness won't compare to the heft in a 6/8th Best Quality Dovo. My 6/8th BQ Dovo is actually a 13/16. Probably not an imperfection... more like a few decades of free shaves!
Hope the post-apocalyptic mutant cannibals appreciate that Dovo steel...
I think the little wedges are kind of pointless. It's not that my recent 4/8th wedge isn't good, I've shaved with it twice and it shaves good, no doubt. It's just that I don't benefit from the lack of flex, but I miss the aural feedback that a good hollow provides. I'm sure I'll love the Torrey but it's fullness is more of an aesthetic point, not performance. Once the edge is suitably finished on my last hone the extra heft of its grind won't be a substantial contributing factor, and I'll lack the vocality of a full hollow.

Alrighty then, so in high hopes of getting my razor for my B-day i was shot down, hornswoggeld, railroaded, cast back down to using throwaways!!!! why you might ask? Well, I'll admit times are tough here at home finantially and i cant just go out and buy what i want when i want so, i was really depending on my b-day for my first blade. As it turns out i did not get my razor. I got a watch. Now it is a nice watch, happens to be my fav color, but no razor??? Later on in the evening after the kids went to bed i got the reason why, My wife doesnt think its a good idea to have such a sharp item in the house with my 2 little ones age 5 and 7. I must say i am extremely puzzled at this.....at any moment they can go into any drawer in the kitchen and pull out a knife that would scare Genghie Khan!!!! But they dont because they know the rules, they know the dangers of a knife and dont dare go near them...so i ask you fellwos What the heck happened here!?!?!?!?

Thanked: 9If she's that worried, I'd have her buy you an Alembicase with the razor. That way, you can throw your razor in there and lock it up!
