    Default Cheapo ebay razor

Well guys.I can't believe it.Both my Gotta razors are in for honing and I didn't fancy buying a modern multiblade thing,so I got a cheapo razor from ebay.It cost £10.I didn't expect much but I was surprised. After a week of shaving and stropping with this cheap no brand razor I am finding a decent shave. It is not as smooth as my Gottah's but it is better than a modern mass produced crappy plastic thing. All I can say is Wow.I still can't wait for my Gottahs to come home though.P.S I have been using Brylcreem as a pre shave.I would recommend it.Its oily but light and softens up the bristles wonderfully.I have to say also that I have been straight razor shaving for 30 years but I was surprised at the quality of this cheap blade.I don't know where it was made or any info about it.No markings on the blade and it has hideous purple plastic scales.Don't know how long it will keep its edge though.Any one else found an ebay bargain?

Well sure! That's the fun of this hobby, I've got some honey holes in my area where they dump out a box of razors and the owner says, "take your pick, they're all $20" I've gotten Boker's and user no-names for that price or less many times. Don't know how Scotland is set up for antique stores, but you should certainly check out your local stores for some great finds.
