Thanked: 0Question about a RAZOR TRADEMARK
Hey guys -
I own a straight razor that has an ax and arrow both on the trademark, the ax looks very similar to the wostenholm trademark but then it also has an arrow out in front of the battle ax...
does anyone know who this maker mark belonged to?
Thanks!

try holding the camera about an inch farther away from the blade. one of the drawbacks of P&S cameras is that they have terrible macro-focus. get a Sony if you want good macro.

It's actually not an axe, but a pipe. Which would make it a wostenholm pipe razor. As for the arrow, i'm not sure.

Wostenholm marks don't have any arrows.
Probably, the razor was made by George Johnson & Co.(pipe with an arrow).
The J.R.Torrey stamp have an arrow, but it's a simple commercial mark.
Nothing military.Last edited by manah; 08-11-2011 at 06:41 PM.
