Picked these Westers up the other day, two 6/8 and a 3/8. Never heard of Gun Metal before, looks annodized/blued. Fourth picture is manganese, looks like it might be special with all the marks. The scales are bone, very nice bone in fact, not dried out or chipped or cracked, very stable. I'm not too attached to them, do you think they are worth selling? Anyone have any info on them?

    Thanks in advance
    C

These are good razors made by well known company.
Gun Metal and Manganese Steel are frequent trademarks of Wester Brothers.
    Nothing special.

Your question cannot be answered with the information provided.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Mod warning - To me this is a question that boarders on valuation and not what SRP is about. Please refrain from requesting valuations on this forum.

Wester Brothers are good shavers but they aren't considered a collectible razor. Better for shaving with than trying to turn a profit on.

The Crown logo is very unusual to me. Wester Brothers (aka Wester & Butz outside of the US) made heavy use of the Anchor logo.

"Manganese Steel" razors are fairly common. "Gun Steel" far less common, but not as rare as say an "Optimo" or "Atta Boy".

They didn't sell many. I've only ever seen one (which is now mine). I don't think it was ever a collectible or rare razor to begin with, but just that it didn't seem to make much of an impression in the marketplace.

    I don't think so.
I've never read about limited manufacturing of some Wester Bros trademarks.
During all time I sold ... about 2-3 Optimo razors.
    The last one.
