Thread: Wow! U know you are OCD when ...

So I think it’s safe to say that many of us here may be a little OCD about our shaving and the up keep of our equipment. Well I know I am … but today I got a little, ok a big reminder, of just how bad I have it.

Buddy moves out of State about two years ago. I have seen him since but today he comes into town and we meet for lunch before heading home for a beer or two. I tell him that I am getting into wet shaving and that he has to give it a shot. To my surprise he states that just before he moved he bought a straight and has been using it ever since. He sports a goatee and also uses it to shave his head bald. I got to tell you – looking at his face and head, buddy has mastered the straight!

When I get home I show him my little collection of shaving creams, razors etc. He laughs and states well alright buddy, finally grown into a man have you! What blew me away is right after that I find out he hadn’t ever had his blade sent out for honing since he got it moreover, he didn’t even know you should! He uses whatever soap is in the bathroom at the time, and can’t be bothered with after shave lol! And yet, the guy is sporting a great looking shave!

For him it’s just a tool that works well for him … even if it’s not been honed in two years lol! Wow!

Maybe he's a super badass who just does a mass plucking every time he "shaves."

That razor must have been quenched in unicorn blood.

We ain't all playing with the same deck of cards. Different skin/whiskers and like that. I've never shaved my head but I've shaved customers heads who were getting a tattoo on the side or back of the head.

I'd have to see a guy shave his head with a razor that wasn't very well maintained to believe it. Head hair is in a whole different class of difficulty when it comes to shaving it. Not saying your friend is pulling your leg but .... on this one I'm from Missouri ....
