Default Did I get a good deal?

    I think so....

This one will be going to Maximillian to restore. I'm nervous working on 150 year old Masonic engraving...

I think you got a good deal too! Caught 'em sleepin'! Good catch. I missed one like it the other day. A mint fatboy that ended at $1 with zero bids! I don't use them, but I'd have made a killing reselling it! Good on you.

I'm here to insert the obligatory "You got a great deal if you're happy with what you paid for it." comment.

Outside of that, my personal opinion that is not in any way/shape/form representing this site or the management of this site, or its sponsors/affiliates/employees/moderators/vendors says that you got a good deal.

All kidding aside, that's a beautiful razor, and I would have been happy spending twice that, if I needed to. I'm sure Max will take those 5 loaves and 2 fish and give you a feast for your eyes!!!

Not sure if I'm breaking a site rule by asking that, but it was asked in good fun. I'll post some photos once I send it to Max and get it back. Apparently the engraving is quite deep so I'm thinking mirror blade with maybe some gold wash??

That would look great. Hopefully the etching makes it through the buffing.

That's not a bad idea, but I've yet to meet a dissatisfied customer of his that simply handed him the blade and told him to have his way with it.

I guess it depends. If you're (seriously) planning on keeping it forever, go for the goldwash. But if you know (in the back of your head) that you someday might get rid of it, I'd go for the aesthetically-pleasing version of what it looked like new That's my 2-cents.

I'll probably just send it to Max with a note saying, send back home when ready!
