    I'd say between the beginning of hollow grinding (~1870) to the treaty in 1881 where they decided everything had to be marked with the nation of origin... so its about 130-140 years old.

    Yes. I can say 1880-1920.

    lol.. well the exchange rate is 1800s one dollar = $33.33 of today's money so a set of a dozen was about $750 which is about $62.50 per blade.. about the same we pay for todays blades. =]

    it shaves pretty damn good.... and i see 0% hone wear on it....... honestly other than the patina it looks hardly used....
