For the best evaluation... Shave
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 74The first razor comes from this company:
Otto Birkhofen, Solingen-Wald, Wiedenkamperstrasse 18 in 1939. Brand names: 'Albertoblade', 'Birko', 'Doppelschmied', 'OBW', 'Polo', 'Thonoco', 'Umberto'. Open-blade razor maker.
I can't seem to find the manufacturer of the TOP branded straight razor.

Thanked: 9Bringing this old thread back to life.
I have now found another user with a "Polo" razor, and with the same two-whatever (probably flags) logo.
Mine is in my introduction thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...ew-guy-ba.html
Looks that my razor is about 80 YO...

Thanked: 118Looks like nice Solingen steel. The second one looks fantastic in both blade and scales.
Thanks for sharing.May your lather be moist and slick, the sweep of your razor sure, and your edge always keen!
