Default H. Boker and aluminum scales

Does anyone know if H. Boker ever offered a razor that came with cast aluminum scales. I'm thinking the one I have was probably replacement scales but I don't know for sure. From what I can piece together Boker stopped making razors right about the time aluminum scales came out so if they did make one, they didn't make many.

Grumpy - Carefully compare the pins on your razor and see if they are identical. If not, chances are your blade has been married up with scales from another razor. If they closely match, they could have been done by a skilled restorer - or they could be original. Up to this point I have never seen a Boker razor with aluminum scales. But - Hey! Ya never know.

Wow you're absolutely correct. The pin on the wedge end is domed. The pin on the blade end has the more familiar peened look. We'll go with replacement scales. I'm with you, I've looked and scoured and I can't find any Boker razors with aluminum scales. Its still a pretty cool razor and the blade is in excellent shape.

Most of the aluminum scales I have seen had a collarless pin in the bottom, some even of aluminum. They always have a collar on top, though. They usually are too large for the blade in them as well, One size fits all? For this reason I sometimes wonder if most aluminum scales are replacements?

    I rest my case.
