Help Needed to Identify Razor
Hello All,
I know this picture is "POOR" but it is all I have so,.....
If anyone feels confident enough to comment (commit?) please tell me what it is what you think the approx value (to buy) would be in UK Sterling.

Hi there, upl8ter. We don't do valuations here at SRP but I'm sure that if anyone has any info on brand/model/production year they'll let you know and you can scour the bay for value estimates.
If you have the razor in hand is there a brand or model or serial # or year on it? Makes it easier to accurately ID stuff.

Ok, you weren't joking. That picture is horrible! Lol.
I think it's a lather catcher of some kind. Either a 1924 or a 1914? Something along those lines. The handle looks like a GEM/Star 1912, but I don't think the head is right to be a 1912.

I'm really leaning towards a Kampfe Star Lather Catcher or an Ever-Ready 1914 "Little Lather Catcher."

Hi, sorry, I probably didn't write my post very clearly.
I have been offered this razor, "friend of a friend" type of thing and as it's very old, the person is convinced that it is valuable and that he would be doing me a favour letting me have it for £10.
I know old sometimes means valuable but not always and before I get into any kind of negotiation I would like some sort of info, and/or advice as to whether I should or not, sorry for not being clearer, I'll be more careful (thoughtful) next time.

As far as I know 10 pounds is about twenty bucks more or less right? Well without making a value call-what would make you happier the money or the razor? tomorrow you'll still have the money but if the razor is gone will that bother you? Use that reasoning to make your decision.

Thanked: 46WELCOME to SRP!! I know nothing about double edge or the early single edge safety razors, but a good deal is when buyer and seller are both happy with the deal. Very Best Regards, wildhog
