    Default Osgar Razors?

    Hello,

I've been searching the Wiki and SRP looking for information on Osgar razors (I bought an Osgar Reg D 862 3/4 for $5.00 at an antique store). So far I've found precious little--maybe three pictures of Osgar razors and quite a few mentions of Osgar strops. I did however find this:

Would it be worth it so find 3/4" SR that looks similar under one of those other brands and assume that the quality/information should be the same? It looks like this:

    Thank you for any help.

I have a Kropp and its a great razor. Since your Osgar is made by the same people I would expect it to also be.

Hi Duzzy! Welcome to SRP!! I have a Kropp and have always felt that it is a underrated razor. Any of the English razors should make fine shavers, and some of them are just superior, being the equal of any in the world. Best Regards and Happy Shaving, wildhog

I've got an Elmo that deserves nicer scales and a better honing. Glad to learn a little more about it; thanks Duzzy and Neil.

Thanks, I'll start browsing the sister brands for my razor and see what I can find.
