Ive always been curious of the japanese straight, but never had the balls to buy/use one.

It looks like a well used kamisori, but I'm no expert. By the text in the description, you'll need to have the thing honed, and I hear it's not the easiest thing to do. I'm not implying that honing western razors is a piece of cake by any means, but these are different beasts with different feeding habits.

While we don't do appreciations - and I'm not qualified to do so by any stretch of the imagination - so I can't help you there.

At a personal level I believe any item, this one included, is worth what you are willing to pay for it.

Yes, it's definitely a kamisori. That bloke sells a few razors, knives and tools from Japan.

it has a ton of honewear , IMHO not worth the buy.
