Is there a cheaper 8/8th than the Revisor?
I am feeling the need to try a big ole blade and the Revisor is looking quite a bargain going by some of the prices of these big blades being sold on e bay, I watched a Filly go for nearly $800 the other night.
Anyone got sugestions for any others in the same price range as the Revisor?
P.S. not interested in 7/8ths (I have got that)

Many of the larger blades I have were local finds well under market prices or from eboy in a hidden area and over looked by most. I refuse to pay top dollar for most razors. If you have the patients and are persistent in your search you can save some money too. Of course it may take some time. Good luck.

Thanked: 202Jaycey. I can only say that to fing 8/8 on UK secondhand market is realy rare. Unfortunately it looks like that even known Sheffield brands were making only smaller blades on this side of the pond unlike their subsidiaries in states. Shortly they have big blades and we have CFs. Thinking of what you can get from Revisor it will be hard to match.

Thanked: 1936Good luck, the older 8/8's are few and far in-between, either way you are likely to drop two bills on it. I found mine luckily for what it would cost for a double-quarter pounder meal at McDonalds. Those kind of finds are very rare here in the U.S.A.

Thanked: 10Yes...I found a Spanish one for 7.50 USD in antique store. Picked it up, and wanted to
Buy it right away to make sure they didn't double check the decimal place but hey, they sold it to me! Still yet to shave with it (it needs some scales, since the ones on it were such that the blade was sticking out the bottom. Luckily no damage done. (no, it's not a filly)
