I've just started using a straightrazor. It's going to take some time I think to get it down pat but I'm already getting the best shave of my life. I picked up an old razor for the job that was honed by a shop here in Los Angeles that carries new and old blades. On one side of the shank is "Costa & Sons Boston Mass". On the other "H.M. Christensen Brockton Mass". I can't say if it's a good blade or not...it's the only one I've ever tried. It's in a new plastic handle and I think it's 5/8" and hollow ground I believe. The blade shape is squared...called spike I read?

I'm planning to replace my Crabtree and Evelyn soap, wood bowl and old and worn boar brush with a nicer badger brush and proper cup. Still researching that.

In the mean time, my lady can't stop kissing me on the cheek!
