    Default Buckeye Burl?

I was searching for scale material and came across some bueatiful Buckeye Burl that caught my eye & was just wandering if anyone has used this for scales (or just burl in general) and if they have any info they can pass on about ease/difficulty of working with it before I pull the trigger.

    Thanks
    Louis

    amboina burl is very popular.
Problem with burls is they are usually too brittle, and need backing to work well. away to go around the problem would be to buy stabilized burl.

Hi Louis, I have two razors done in Buckeye and have hade no problems. IMO it is a great looking wood but only time will tell how it holds up. Best, wildhog
