Thanked: 1195I quite like mine, though it did take some time to warm up to it. They do have some known QC issues, but it's nothing you can't work around with a bit of experience.
It might seem that way at first, but that will quickly disappear when you get the perfect razor/blade combo that gives an undeniably outstanding shave.
Yes folks, they can be right up there with straight shaves....

Thanked: 485The Merkur 34G looks quite nice, but maybe a vintage gold plated would be nicer? Just for touch-ups only...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 983I have the 34C and have to say I like it. Still want a 'GoodFella' though.

I lOVE my DE Merkur heavy duty and use it everyday as my final pass after my straight. DE is what got me intrigued with straights in the first place and what a joy to use after the cartridge blade and I discovered the joy of effortless BBS every time. that's why I still love to use it. No matter how good or bad my straight shave is I still end up with a BBS!
Most of the time the DE pass is just like wiping off lather and other times I'm so glad I used it. Feather blades to me are what I strive for in my straight razor feel but I'm not sure when that will happen, lol!
Why choose just one?
