    Henckels are a good quality straight and it looks in pretty good condition. As it belonged to your Grandfather, it's priceless. It would certainly make a good starting point to a straight collection. The majority of straights in Australia are Bengalls with a smattering of Invicata's and a few others. The internet has really meant that you now have the ability to buy razors from all around the world so if you're looking at collecting, it's pretty easy these days.

    No one has commented, but the scales are of celluloid (early plastic). The platinum was not the top-line Henckels, but they provide great shaves. The best part is it is the one and only razor from your Grand Dad. Cherish it and preserve it! Lots of us, if not most all of us would like to have such a fine item from our forefathers! ..get it on...Tom
