In my collection I have three Puma razors. These three Pumas are however pretty common models: a 91 model, a 89 model and a 89 Special.
The doubt I have is about Puma 89. One has a 11/16 half hollow blade, whereas the 89 special has a 6/8 full hollow blade.
The doubt I have is in fact about the "regular" Puma 89. I did many researches and, as far as I know, there is no Puma 89 11/16 half hollow. It seems the only Puma 89 has a 6/8 full hollow blade with the famous "Puma Special" logo.
In the "special" model is in fact found this famous logo, whereas I cannot see it in the other Puma 89. They have the very same tang with the very same marks.
An explanation I tried to give is that the "normal" is a "special" to which a previous restoration work has erased the "special logo" away and, maybe, some esxcessive honing has shortened the blade. However, the "hone wear" is not so heavy, so there is no clue for an excessive honing. It can also be the blade was damaged (chips or cracks) and it has been shortened in order to make a new bevel.
However there is something feeding my doubts. If I compare the grind of the "normal" Puma with the "special" one, it is evident they are different: the "normal" is "half", the "special" is "full". In case they were the same, the upper part of the blade would be exactly the same but, in my case, the initial curvature is different.
Another detail, although I think this is irrelevant, is the fact the "normal" Puma has black scales, whereas the "special" Puma has pale-cream scales. The scales are in both cases original and in both can be seen the famous Puma logo. I don't think this is important as I know there are Puma 89 Special having black or pale-cream scales.
Is there among of you guys, an expert or Puma lover who can help me to solve my dilemma?

Thank you.
