Winchester razor?
Does anyone have any experience with Winchester razors? I haven't been able to find much in my search for info. The only thing on the tang is Winchester. I just want to know if they shave well.
Thanks James

From what I've seen of them, on the bay , and what have you, they generally have a number stamped on them. I've read that Winchester made 'good' pocket knives and razors before WWII. Like Keen Cutter, there is a niche market for them because of pocket knife and , in the case of Winchester, gun collectors. In the 1980s someone bought the trademark and began producing pocket knives with the brand. Good ones BTW. I don't know if there were any razors made in those years but yours is obviously an oldie.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

This one is stamped with 8528. I didn't even notice it till now. I'll definitely have to get it cleaned up.

Thanked: 4942There are a few......lol. I certainly have honed most of the brands. I think one of mine is an 8528 and the other an 8526, by I don't know what the different numbers mean.

Thanked: 480only getting scarce because Winchester collectors snap them up. Thats why you mostly see them at gun shows, and why they get such high prices for good ones in box.
