    well because I have the historical razor and the Thiers-Issard Grelot Crown Silver Wing . When i did some back ground information on the historical razor, information was basically ever were so I decided to make a web site dedicated to that one beautiful razor, mine number 323 (Historical razor) and I have 152 (Thiers-Issard Grelot Crown Silver Wing)

    Welcome to SRP. I've got one too. Also have a Crown #55. I don't remember what the TIPTLE is offhand but it is in the first hundred IIRC. I've always suspected that Pierre didn't like the forgings he did so put them off to the side as 'seconds'. Great to shave with though if only for the history. Nice tribute page you did there.

    My concern is whether you have checked with Max about using his photographs, and even without any attribution. Unless you have a permission from the owner you should be careful since digital content is also copyrighted.

    I don't think I ever read a report from someone who didn't think it was an outstanding razor. I have one too. I don't remember the number, in the mid 100s as I recall.

    The website is great. Thanks for putting the information out there. My collection still doesn't have a TIPTLE. On the rare occasion that they do become available, I seem to not have any money
