    Default Info needed

    Good morning Sirs,

I am here again asking for information... I have these two STR8s that are a little shorter than the others I have, and about them I could gather no information...

    Both have celluloid scales.

Is there somebody who can let me know something about them? I mean, period (obviously they are from the XX century, but I'd like to know something more precise), value at their times (if they were nice and expensive razors or common ones) and their historical and collectible value (I don't mean in money therms, of course, but if they are nice pieces for a collection or not in general).

    Thank you in advance!

The Harrods razor really appears to be in great shape. I wonder if it was a store branded razor for the department store in London. Get them sharpened up and let us know how you like them.

I agree, the Harrod's is quite likely made for the store by one of the good sheffield cutlers like mappin&webb, thomas turner, etc..
The same way these days Art of Shaving has both Dovo and Thiers-Issard etch the store logo on their razors, or like in the past DublDuck and Sears had various makers make razors for them.

I used them both a couple of times up to now, the Harrod's works better than the Deputy. But I prefer wedges and half hollow ground to these extremely light (and more modern) razors. I am trying to understand if I want to keep them or sell them, that's why I'm asking for information about them.
