Keen Kutter from antique shop
Picked up a Keen Kutter from an antique shop a couple weeks back. Was wondering if anyone had any insights on this brand of razor. The razor feels light, so I'm wondering about the type of metal. Also, it's blued, but the bluing seems faint (haven't seen this used on a razor before, though, so don't have anything for comparison).
I'm pretty new to honing, but went ahead and put it through the paces on my set of Norton stones (1k, 4k, 8k, in this case), and shaved with it for the first time today. Performed well, but not the most comfortable. But again, I'm no master honer yet by any means.
Anyway, thought I'd post and see if there were any thoughts and/or reactions. I'll get some more info and a pic or two later (hopefully tomorrow morn).

Keen Kutter was probably the most popular razor in America in its day, a good shaver./
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Struggled with internet issues, but I believe I've finally triumphed.
Thanks for the info on Keen Kutter. As I expected, the problem is with the honer (me) and not the razor.

Any thoughts on what the "K16" on the tang means?

Yep, i have a Keen Cutter and it reminds me of my Boker round tip 101 red injun. Under estimated shavers.
