Default Cheap Vintage Joseph Rogers ?

Is this for real? Just picked it up for under $60 on ebay...

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

It does look like the blade is well worn perhaps near the point but indicated as shave ready?

It looks fine to me. As far as it being shave ready . . . you won't know that until it arrives.

    Regards - Walt

I just picked up a razor with identical nomenclature, except it's a square point, for $10.00 at an antique store

I would love to visit the antique stores and find such deals but perhaps too lazy to actually do it or too uncertain to know where to start. I live in Atlanta if you have any leads I might swing by on the weekends. I guess I assume anything good would already have been taken but then again it seems every day someone pulls out something I would pay $300 for for $5 at some antique store. In the scheme of things I am curious what the probability of finding something like this for $10 is? Once every 10 shops visited? 100? Knowing that might set reasonable expectations for me to start looking.

I am new to straight shaving this year and to now have just dropped big bucks buying whatever looks nice without much regard for the price. I admit having spent way too much but for some pretty nice blades and think perhaps I will soon enter the second phase of RAD where I don't buy the first nice thing I see at whatever price but start looking more for the real deals, hunting or fishing along.

I have 28 razors in my collection already (in under 6 months) so perhaps it is all a bit too little too late

    My latest beauty...
