I bought this razor from Razor Designs. I love it. It is a sharp looking razor.

Yes, the handles are plastic. Dovo used to make a real pearl ones to put on the no.41 stainless blade (the one in your post is carbon steel), but I haven't seen those available for a while. The last time they were also made from several pearl segments on a liner instead of single slab.
Significantly more expensive than the plastic, too.

I knew they werent real pearl, I should have rephrased my question better, are they firm or soft plastic? How does it shave?
    Thanks for the response gugi

I have the same Razor, the scales are quite flexible. It shaves well and in my opinion, looks really good.

I have a similar razor that is set(?) in the same scales. Of the three Dovo's I own, it's my favorite in terms of aesthetics.

I have the same razor scaled in Honey Horn.As a shaver, it is a nice enough razor, but not one of my favorites. However, it is probably one of the prettiest I own.

I got it the other day it came honed by lynn. When I shaved with it, it was alright but not up to my TI. I later stropped it 50 times on linen and 100 full passes on leather and it helped it a lot. It will pass a hht on some parts of the blad but not the other. I have shaved twice with it now, and it just doesnt seem to be as good as my TI. Maybe after some more stropping and use it will get better.
