Short razors
All 3 of these razors arrived at my door in the last week and a half, a Top Flight, a Robeson Shur-Edge, and a Duck -- all with blades measuring 2 1/2" - 2 5/8", shoulder to tip. None look butchered, all have terrific edges .... just ...short.
Are these original length? Or did I receive 3 modified razors?Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

How much distance is there between the tip of the blade and the wedge when closed?

Nothing consistent, nothing extreme -- Robeson = 1/2", TopFlight = 1/4", Duck = 3/8". No guarantees that the Robeson is in original scales.

Anyone make out what the second line of print on the duck says?

The Special #1 will be sweet. I have one, and a Bresduck Dwarf - I think they're the same w/ different stamps. They measured .010" thick, placing them safely in the extra hollow clan. You'll find them wonderful shavers.
You may recall a post from Lynn, saying he found he got more nicks from the longer razors. I like the shorties.
