    Default razor? i found today

    looking for any info on this piece.i have been collecting knives for years and recently began collecting razors.i have seen one that resembles this but cannot find it again.thinking civil war. what do you think.thanks for any info you can provide.Jim

    Hello Jim. Welcome to the SRP forums. The razor you have is probably Asian in origin. The straight razor design, as we know it, has been the norm in this country and Europe since the 1700s. Your style of razor is sometimes misrepresented on eBay as being from the Revolutionary War era. You can still buy this type of razor for under fifteen bucks.
