Books and resources recomend
I just was reading through the thread on "Rattlers" and Hoglahoo had a post with sketches of grind cross sections that caught my eye.
Being the info junky that I tend to be, anytime I get interested in something I want to learn more about it. So are there any good references out there on razors.
I would like to find a good reference book with history in it so I can better learn what razors were made in what era etc. I would also be interested in any technical info on the grinds, traditional materials, etc.
Now that I am shaving with a SR I have a growing itch to try my hand at making one. I grew up in a knifemakers shop and can hollow grind as well as anyone out there. I have all the necessary equipment in my current shop. What I would like to have is more education on the grinds and technical points like were in that sketch.
Hoglahoo, where did you come by these razor notes and are they available to the public? WHere else can I find such tech info on razors?
