Think long and hard before destroying. That's a very nice thing you have there. Is there a local museum with a restorer near you that you could take it to?

No I live in nowhere America. more than likely I will build another one just like it using this one as a template.
That and I am not rich and can't afford to pay someone else to do work I have the skill and time to do.

I don't think I coud describe properly how excited I would have been about finding something like that. haha That is really neat! I live in nowhere America too, and have yet to find a single razor or razor associated item within an hours drive. Figuring fuel in, means my searches are limited to the surrounding 20 mile radius...of which I still have no luck. But, congrats to you on a really cool find. I hope to see the finished replica someday!

Of course, the second I say I'd like to find one, I see four on Ebay. It's like they KNOW...Anyways, to make you feel better about putting out the sixty bucks, I thought I'd let you know, that most of the one's on Ebay look like they might go for around that, sans razors. So if Ebay is any indicator, you done real good with that purchase.

Sid - I have a razor box exactly like yours. I completely disassembled it for the same reasons you did. I wanted to replace the old paper covering but never found the appropriate material. Now, you seem to have located what looks to be just the ticket. Please let us know some details of how that paper works out for you. Thanks for the information about where you found it.

    Regards - Walt

Here is where I have ordered from, I am not saying it is the correct thing "yet" I had originally posted a link, but decided to remove it until I get my order in and test.
