    Default NOS Razor

I recently acquired a NOS Filarmonica, it was sealed in its original plastic box/envelope and sealed further in plastic. when I opened it up its condition was excellent but it seemed like the oil that was put on it at the factory had turned a light brown right at the edge . I took a tooth pic to it to make sure that it had not discolored the blade. It had not . Do any of you know what the safest non abrasive method to remove this film is ?

Alcohol will do. This is not waffle it is steel it can survive a wipe down , just be careful with the gold wash if it has one.

I had an NOS Hess that had this on the blade, and the scales, I used hot water, dish soap, and an old tooth brush , it worked fine and no damage to anything... Start light, get heavy if needed

Whoops just saw the "Edge" part ... please disregard this...
