    Default Henckel Scale?

    I've been reading about a few razors on ebay and wondered what the henckel scale is. It must be something to do with the how ground the blade is by the sounds of it?

    Can anyone expalain this? Is a high number (11 for instance) better than a low number (such as 6)?

    there are 16 degrees in the scale 1 being a true wedge grind and 16 being a very thin extra hollow grind
