I have my family's razor, it came from England with the two brothers who started the American branch of the family in the 1790's I know it was one of four that were brought. and a gift from their mother. It's in such bad shape I keep it in a sealed box only opening it rarely. I haven't been able to even Identify the maker as the markings are gone. It's been through the civil war, and WWI. I also have the strop my grandfather made for it. My grandfather was the last Pickle to use the razor, and unfortunately he will remain so. It's actually what got me into straight razors, it's like holding a direct connection to my ancestors in England.

I'm wondering if you are related to Axel Augustson? Or how you know about him? We recently came across a hand-written life history in my grandmother's papers and are trying to determine how he is related to my family. Thanks!
