It's way out of my price range but have a look at the Dovo The Flowing, absolutely gorgeous razor. In the same $$$ as a Hart.

Why haven't you got a good shave from your AOS Dovo? Is it dull and need to be honed or is it your technique? I too have an AOS Dovo and have gotten many a close shaves. If it's dull have it honed, if it's technique buying a new razor will not solve the problem.

Not to obstruct your Christmas gift to yourself, but really you could go for a couple of Wade and Butchers out there full wedge for that money. I got my last 5/8 with less than $50 in excellent condition and it became one of my favorite shavers. Or if you insist upon being shiny new my advice would be to go for Hart Steel. TIs are pretty expensive and they've taken a "Veblen goods" turn lately, not exactly best bang for the buck.

Almost as nice, but at close to half the price, is the shoulderless in desert ironwood at The Superior Shave.
