    Default Marbles razors question

Are the Marbles razors any good?

Marbles, like Keen Kutter and Case, has a good long history as knife makers, ax makers etc. Do the Marbles razors I am seeing pop up from time to time on ebay live up to that name and reputaion?

Or are they imported Asian junk that some schmuck has decided to slap a quality brand name on after a corporate buy out in order to watch one more quality company circle the drain?

    Thanks,

    Ray

While you are correct in that Marbles has a history of providing quality cutlery, you will find that the company no longer exists and the the name is licensed out to another company that is putting 'Marbles' on cutlery made in China and possibly other countries known for lesser quality goods. As for razors with the Marbles name, don't use them for shaving.

Bullseye ! I think you hit the nail on the head , and Marbles isn't the only one . I think most of the famous old cutlery companies exist in name only .

I saw one at smoky mountain knife works. This object is not a razor. It is a razor shaped paperweight that with careful honing, MIGHT be suitable as a letter opener - if you luck out and get a good one.
