Seven Day Set $19.50!! (in 1902)
How i wish i could go back in time with some of my dad's vintage cash and buy all these old razors for so cheap! $19.50 in 1902's money is about $650 in today's money though.. lol

I checked this. The equivalent to 19.50 in 1902 is $484.76 in today's currency. Still a pretty good price for a seven day set. I figure that the greatly larger number of manufacturers of straight razors would account for the somewhat lower price as compared to a contemporary seven day set.
Someone who buys a lot of razors may use this as a slight justification; the investment in razors would appreciate at a higher rate than inflation.
Of course past historical performance is not an indicator of future . . . blah, blah, blah.

The only problem was in 1902 you would probably only be earning around $40 a week salary.

Thanked: 7Never heard of that maker. Still, please count in the Morocco case, too, that means genuine goat leather tanned and dyed manually, pretty much a collector item by itself. All in all, not a bad price at all for the whole thing. And definitely making the descendants happy, whether they use them or sell them.
