Thanked: 4942The main thing about shaving with larger razors is that the hand tends to bend back at the wrist with any razor in it, causing a greater cutting angle. This is very prevalent with razors 7/8 and larger. So long as you pay close attention to this, you should be fine if you develop a preference for larger razors. Pay particular attention to the mustache area as already advised and to the chin area as well. Take an extra second and check your angle when you start to shave these areas with larger razors.
Have fun

Good advice, Lynn. I am also a fan of the big chopper blades, though I wouldn't use them exclusively. I think I will add a few to my collection at some point, but also some smaller ones. Something about variety and spices and life, I believe.

If you're loking for a 7/8s American you will have a chore. They are out there but are uncommon, very uncommon.
The biggest thing for me with big razors is they can be clumsy. I find the large scales are always getting in the way and I'm continuously moving the scale position so it doesn't hit my ear.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 94I have from 4/8-9/8, I typically find my hand instinctively reaching for a 6/8 or 7/8. I love my 7/8 Schulze, I am not afraid to say it....
