    Default CMon Coiffeur

I have a C Mon 3/8" Coiffeur Razor. It came with the box, and looks to be new (unused). It's the cutest little razor. Can these be used to shave with, or were they used to touch up hair cuts.

I would think they are for hair cutting. Usually milder steel, I would think they wouldn't hold an edge as long as a regular C-Mon if used for shaving. I could be wrong, but my barber and I have had a discussion about the difference between shaving and hair cutting straights, and that was his take on them.

The best way to find out if it will shave or not is to shave with it.

True, it's made for cutting hair however I'm not so sure the steel is any different than a normal straight. I think if you used one to trim hair all day and it was softer steel it wouldn't stand up for that either. Try it and see what happens. They can be hard o shave with especially if you have big hands. I have a 2/8s Mercur and it can really get away from you.
