For those of you that own Kamisori;
How long is it overall and how long is the blade? Would also like to hear from those of you who have made fixed blades. Just gathering facts and ideas here for my next project........please don't tell my wife........

the one i have is a dainty little rascal.... barely wider than my hand... the cutting edge is ~2"x5/8"





this fixed is considerably larger...



this one is unfinished but is larger still... ...

Brian, two things:
1. Is the second one a full wedge?
2. Good Lord man! That's not a shaving instrument, that's a small hatchet!!

yes it is a full wedge..

Lol..it is 12/8ths right now....

Some kind of cord basically like a cottonish thread....

I am going to try and finish the monster this weekend at work.... Between naps...lol..

The standard I have seen is ~45mm , or ~50mm cutting edge and ~ 5/8, 6/8, 7/8 size.
