I guess I should explain this for folks. I currently work at W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery. WR Case and Burrell have, in the past, done work for each other. I believe this box once contained knives (probably kitchen cutlery) made by Burrell for WR Case. I believe it has been bouncing around the WR Case factory since.

Lynn Abrams turned me on to Genco's and being from NY I couldn't resist. I am down to 3 but the NY made razors can hold their own with any vintage razor. Shaves great, holds their edge and needs very little maintenance. To bad NY lost these fine craftsman. I purchased from an estate in Canada that was new and in the original box. When I opened it I couldn't resist and shaved with it. Amazing it was pretty close to shave ready.

Good to hear. Burrell produced straight razors into the very early 1950's. Of course that was almost 70 years ago. The techniques acquired and the dedicated craftsmen enabled Burrell to transition from razor manufacturing to hollow ground "Top Flight" household cutlery. Our knives were produced on many of the same machines that produced our razors.
