    Default Straight Razors for Kids?!

Any one ever come across a kids straight razor kit like the ones they have with fake/toy DE's or disposables ? Seems like I saw one once a while back but I cant seem to find it again. I would realy like to get my son one . I appreciate any help you guys can offer .
    Thanks.

I don't have an answer to your specific question, but I can say that I let my kids shave with me using a Parker shavette-style razor with the blade removed. They absolutely love it!! That, coupled with a inexpensive brush you can get from most drug stores, can provide hours and hours of entertainment. Have fun!

He, my daughter, and I spend a lot of time with it.

Depending on age and what you want to do - I would not reccommend the shavette for two simple reasons:

    1. My three year old daughter also likes to play. We use real shave soap applied with a real brush and scrape it off with the plastic straight in the kit. We take turns giving each other shaves. Yesterday she gave me 5 shaves in a row. She does not have the most gentile touch, and I imagine that some damage would have been done with the metal shavette, even with the blade removed.

    2. The kit comes with a lot of cool stuff, and we have full shave-and-haircut sessions.

Plus, I have less to worry about if my 6 year old son and his sister want to play without me - I wouldn't trust them with the shavette.

Now that sounds like a fun idea. My youngest son (in avatar) loves to do everything that daddy does. He sat on the counter with me and watched me during my last shave and was glued to me the whole time. I think it was that blade next to my face that kept his attention

Just may have to steal you idea and get him a set to shave like daddy

my boy is 6 going on 16 that being said though I think I might trust him with the shavette . I did come across a plastic straight that was a prop for a sweeny todd Halloween costume Im leaning towards that because its the size of a regular straight but is safe.
    Thanks again Gents.
