Thanked: 8Searching 4 similar Wade & Butcher
Im new to this site, im male, 34 years, 186 cm high, 90 Kg, Blue eyes, blond hair, white, norwegian, and i need some help to track or find 1: Wade & Butcher that was talking to me even at night, but i didnt get it, wonder if anyone know the name for this blade shape/size and more info on it, and what year it is? and also if someone have 1 for sale in same condition as this one. Or do anyone know where i can look for a similar one? i like the shoulderless, barber notch where the knife part of the barber notch goes further out then the rest and that it is round and not square like most thiers issard`s. dont know why i suddenly have gotten this fetish for this exact straight razor, but havent sleept the last 5 days just wondering if i got the razor on the pictures. Hope someone can help.
Thx from a newbie from Norway

I think that one picture is a single shoulder... regardless, I think you will have a difficult time finding an exact match because the length/shape of the tail indicates it is a very old blade you have pictured there.

Welcome to SRP. We allow members with any number of posts to place a WTB (want to buy) ad in our SRP classifieds. You need more posts and time in SRP to sell but you can ask to buy ..... in the classifieds.... but it is not allowed in the forums. That said, what you've posted pictures of is a nice W&B blade that looks to me to be a re-scaled razor. I cannot read what is embossed into the wood, but it sure looks to be a rescale to me. Anyhow, W&B made a million or 10 of those so you shouldn't have any problem finding one.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Welcome to SRP CanCerManNor.
If it is any consolation, I want one too.
It looks like a 5 or 6/8 wedge to me with barbers notch.
I have a 4/8 which is lovely to shave with.

Hi and welcome, from a Scandinavian brother! Well, you should be able to get your hands on very similar W&B razors (the tang area maybe will be a little different, the end/tail of the blade, but the blade construction I've seen around many times, even owned one or two), as for the scales I would guess they're not orginal (as a matter of fact I'm pretty sure they're modern custom made, judging by those pins). If you really like the blade construction and don't mind other makers, it'll get easier, even though not overly cheap if you want it in good condition

Imagine my surprise. That is my razor, although it's in the mail and I haven't seen it up close and personal. I have been looking for a Wade with that blade design for a few months. There is something modern and steam punk about it at the same time. It's a 13/16 near wedge. The scales are modern. They say Padron cigar. If it's the blade design that is speaking to you, be patient, they pop up from time to time.

Thanked: 8Sry for posting "buy" question here, just so i dont get out on the wrong side of the bed in the beginning on srp.Thx 4 all the answers, yes its not original scales, it says Padron on them like the buyer here stated;( and yes u got it for 155 im more into w&b with that blade, dont matter so much with the tang what shape it is. allready got a dovo 5/8 (looks like a edwin jagger but dont matter since dovo makes both razors) and also got a Giesen & Forsthoff 5/8 Cattle Horn #571. but started to regret it allready, its almost like showing up with a Lada on a Ferrari show But now going for older designs that make me dream about them Since i have nothing better to do. Im new so need handholding to school

The main thing, when you are starting out with RAD. is to focus on condition. There is a tendency to buy razors in poor condition because they are cheaper and may be a name brand. Speaking from experience. Your off to a good start with shavers. Nothing wrong with a G&F if it is in good shape and shave ready.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 8the G&F was new and said shave ready but i bought it to test my honing on, just so i dont ruin a better razor later. got a set of norton 220,1k,4k,8k, lapping stone and slurry stone. hard black arkansas, hard translucent arkansas, also got belgian yellow coticule, and belgian blue, also a new swaty,a strop and an english honing stone. now i want to get a hold on an old escher not a new one, not even the latest stone they just cut up
