Thanked: 3That is a very interesting product.
Here's another similar technology that I thought looked pretty cool. Magnumbootsglobal's Channel - YouTube
The only problem with this one is that it is not something you can spray out of a can like the Never Wet. It has to be applied by the manufacturer using their specialized equipment. Regardless of the coating you put on your razor, the first time you take it to a hone, and possibly even just to the strop, the coating is going to be worn from alt least the the edge and spine, which means another coat of whatever you are using.

CLEAR!
*zap*
Revived. Depending on where you live this product was just released a few weeks ago. About $20 for 2 cans (surface primer and superhydrophobic treatment) that treats 15 square feet. Appears the product is going quickly and for now only seems to be offered at Home Depot. I just got the 2 cans yesterday. I might be adding this to a pair of work boots I use in the mud and snow (no, they are not the Red Wing leather shoes).
If you have or will get it what are you going to use it for? Would be interesting to hear what others are using the product for.
**EDIT**
This might actually be a better topic for Conversation rather than in Razors but, this is where the original thread begins.Last edited by Logistics; 07-13-2013 at 03:01 PM.

From what I've been able to find out, this stuff might not work for your razors. According to the info NeverWet does not dry clear. When applied it leaves a frosted coating on the surface to which it was applied. Also I couldn't find any information about its durability/longevity. Then again, this wasn't an extensive search.
