I can barely see it. No a problem at all. Just need to be honed, reset the bevel.

Yip that will vanish with a new bevel. Enjoy!

Good to hear I guess I will send it out since I am far from being able to reset a bevel. Thanks for the quick replies!!

Can you post a photo of the whole razor? The chip will come out in the wash easily, but you'd get more precise advice if we could see the whole razor.

Depending on the light there I wouldn't even call that a chip to tell you the truth. I'm not sure if it's a rust pit on the edge or some other imperfection but honing will fix that. Based on what I see of the edge you will need to redo the bevel for sure.

Thanks for the photo. That might be a chip, but it is nothing to worry about. Normal bevel-setting will probably remove it without losing very much steel.

Not an edge I'd shave with. There's no way to know what the steel is until you start honing it, that pit looks pretty deep, so the edge may have to be established behind it and you'll loose about 1/32" of the width but that shouldn't matter much.

Oh I def won't be shaving with it!!! It's a Filly #13 so once fixed up it should be a good shaver! But I do agree I'll loose a bit of width to get the pit out. Prob gonna send it out and have the thing restored by someone here possibly with some new scales since I have always felt that the filly scales are kind of chintzy but these are in alright shape so may keep them
