Default Famex Blue Steel Special Bagpiper?

Just picked this razor up from the eBay and can't seem to find too much of anything about it on the internet.

    Anyone know anything about these?

Sorry about the small picture, I'm in the process of locating my camera...

I have a Famex crown and couldn't find a lot about it either.
It's a great shaver though - yours seems a little sad 'cause it's got a frown - glad you've given it a good home
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Not a serious one, I intend to pull that out once I get around to this puppy.

If I am not mistaken, those scales came from a Kinfolks razor. I have one that has the original scales and they are the same as yours.

I am sure someone will chime in with better info.

Thanks for the info, I just e-mailed Kinfolks to see if they could shed a little more light on the history of this razor, since it was not present in the vintage catalogs on their website. I'll post and let you all know what I find!

Kinfolks scales -- not necessarily a Kinfolks razor. A Kinfolks Blue Steel would also say that on the tang. This blade was likely pinned into these scales.

Number 1 and Famex on one side of the tang, the other side is very worn, but I can make out Solingen and ?arante. Then on the face of the blade is some beautiful artork and the words The Bagpiper Reg.

I have almost similar Bagpiper thing. Not Famex but Schäfer Solingen. I have no any idea about its history or whatever. Sorry poor pics.
