    Default Garantie 7/8

I am looking into a 7/8 Garantie razor in good condition. The blade says "Garantie" only. It does not say who the maker is or where it is from. The blade has some faded (from use) gold foil on it and there are some spots and age tarnish on the razor otherwise it's in good condition with scales clean and free of cracks and the pins are tight. I read in a previous thread that Garantie was the French spelling of warranty. Could this be a French blade? Is it a Pakistani cheapie? Does anyone have any experience with these razors? Thanks for your attention to this.
    Regards,

Plenty of Solingen straights said Garantie-Solingen as well. I would bet it's a Solingen of some kind.
I've bought a straight from that seller, he's a terrible photographer and the razor most likely looks much better than in the photo's...

I've also seen , and have at least one, Solingen razor marked 'Garantie' so it may be an old Solingen.

Thanks for the info guys. If it is a Solingen, it is a nice razor. I read from a previous thread on this that these razors can be very good shavers. I appreciate the input.
