Thanked: 0Help identifying and history of a unique Razor
Hello
This razor has struck my curiosity and was wondering if anyone knew the name of the style and/or History of this type of razor ?? It has a cool feel in the hand and I have not ever seen a straight razor like it before....someone suggested it might be a gun stock design.... . any ideas???
Thanks
PS ignore the case, it is just to protect it and prob. was not original.....

Yes it's a "gun stock" style razor . They were made by numerous makers . I've never shaved with one , but it looks like it might be a little awkward . I don't see too many of them , so they must not have sold too well .
Greetings , from Dundalk , Maryland . The place where normal people , fear to go .

I've only seen one blade shape like that posted and that was a few years ago. It would be interesting to see how it handled in honing, stropping and shaving. Nice collectible, especially with the figural scales. My guess is the 1930s but that is purely speculation. Let us know how she shaves.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Strop it hell, I wonder it feels like shaving. I'd love to give it a go.

Now that is cool! Reminds me of some that Alex Jacques made in recent years. A little like an extreme ATOR too. Want :-)
