What is our new favorite this year?
This poll is just to see which new brands we have tried and used this year which became a new favorite. Some of us have a habit of buying a new blade once in a while and it can be something we have never tried, any razor that stood out and moved to a new favorite counts as long as its not your favorite from last year, for instance, my favorite from last year was my Gottlieb & Hammesfhar, and this year I came into possetion of a Kama, really great blade, and one of my new favorites.sorry I dont have a picture now but it will be added later. Anyone else?

If I have to vote it is for the one and only razor I bought this year.... an old favorite but a new model. The Theirs Issard Oak wing G is a favorite and a keeper. I love the slightly notched point to get around my mustache under my nostrils. I like the balance, the steel takes a superlative edge and holds it well through repeated shaves. The scales on my #55 are gorgeous. Just a favorite period.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 13245My Kamisori,
I am sold on these...
For me the size and the fact that they are so freaky sharp just makes them the perfect razor for my shaving habits and my beard...
Initial honing can sometimes be a bit of a chore if they are used and far from shave ready, but once they are up and running maintenance is easy as pie...

I if I remember correctly I've only bought three razors this year that "made the cut" :
A Winchester 5/8 that I found in the classifieds here.
The Steinbrück & Drucks Mozart Spezial 6/8 that I bought from Glen (gssixgun)
and the Bob Allman custom 10/8 - that is in a class by itselfLast edited by Otto; 12-07-2011 at 01:06 PM. Reason: links

Gentlemen,
My Robert Williams 7/8 Spanish point with bone scales wins the prize this year. What a stunning razor.

Thanked: 1195I bought a Mappin & Webb 4 day set early this year from RayG (thanks Ray!), each are simply outstanding shavers. Anyone who says they are not fans of Sheffield razors should pick up a M&W, and I guarantee you'll change your mind.

The one that stands out the most from this year has to be a Damascus Buddel custom I got back in spring/summer.
Pure beauty and workmanship, with an edge I have never seen on any other razor in my life.
My Max Sprecher's also stands out in the crowd. Sublime shavers and stellar craftmanship.
A recent purchase, a C-Mon Royal was something special too.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
