My understanding was Dovo uses Swedish Steel for all their Carbon Steel razors-current production that is.

This comes off the Dovo website:
"The basic material preferred for open razors is normal steel with a minimum carbon content of 0,6%, in order to achieve the highest degree of hardness, elasticity and resistance to wear."
The austentizing and tempering temperatures listed on the website cover the ranges needed to properly heat treat either carbon or stainless steels. No exciting revelations about specific steel types. Given the above specification for the carbon content for a carbon steel razor, I suspect it's not wunderstahl or any other variety of magic steel. I would not be surprised to find Swedish steel in there. The Swede mills make very good materials.

I have the Mammoth scaled model they came out with a few years ago and it says right on the blade "Swedish Steel". I doubt they sourced special steel for this model.
