I am interested in purchasing a Hans, Otto Deutsch & Söhne
6/8 - Full Hollow w/Original scales that I discovered browsing
the web. I was hoping that someone here might be able to
bring some insight as to history, craftsmanship, and possible
price for this razor. Thanks

let me give you a hint, Don't link to it on here, they are a very highly sought after razor, especially if they are in good shape..

Look carefully at the scales and blade faces as the scales are very susceptible to Celluloid Rot... Search that term on SRP if you are not sure what it is...

What I can tell you is that they are very good shavers.
I have one, and it does take and hold a wonderful edge.
As for value, that is up to you to decide.

Some celluloid scales are prone to cell rot. I've read that faux tortoise are more prone and IME so are the translucent green scales on the Otto Deutsch "Hans" . So if it looks clean as a whistle maybe it is a safe bet. OTOH, if it has residual pitting from a cleaning I'd think twice. Welcome to SRP.

I've got a 5/8 to restore. Very handsome, Very hollow. If I remember correctly, Hans was a well known actor by the rise of the 3rd Reich, and was murdered for being a communist. They certainly made a nice razor in his memory.
